Have a small 500 watt solar generator with panels  as part of your Bug Out Vehicle to recharge any battery operated tools, to run a internet satellite  or for lights preppers

Rotate your 5 Gallon Fuel Cans as you refuel your Bug Out Vehicle. The Suburban Prepper prefers to have at least three cans at the ready and back up fluids and oils for the vehicle . Keep your fluids in your car topped off.  Get into the habit of using your fuel cans in addition then filling your gas tank so both are full at all times and rotated through

Spare Tires and a Flat Tire Repair  Kit are essential.  Have a diagramed manual  with back up drive belt and essential tools for emergency repairs 

A general tool box for general repairs, extra nails, and screws  and a few battery operated power tools 

A CB radio is a must on the road to gather local intelligence from other drivers.  Practice with radio equipment to learn how to use before SHTF happens. Learn the range of your CB radio.  Many over the road truckers still this as a primary means to communicate with other truckers.  Be polite to others on the Citizens Band Radio 

Have a Ham radio and a GMRS radio in your Bug Out Vehicle. There is a learning curve with Ham and GMRS. The Ham requires testing before a license can be issued and the GMRS requires you pay for a license. Have a good handheld Scanner and a good Hand Cranked Radio. Learn about Repeater Stations. Join a local HAM radio club.

The Suburban Prepper uses the Uniden SDS 100 scanner . This scanner can be programmed by distance , zip code and many other ways. If you want overkill in your scanner, this is the one. A good hand crank radio for the AM and FM and Emergencies. Some come with lights and phone chargers.

Each person should have a bug out rucksack that is inventoried and restock at least every month. These bags and rucksacks have different names such as a Bug in Bag (BIB), a Get Home Bag and Im Never Coming Home (INCH) Bag

The Passengers and Drivers of a Bug Out Vehicle should have a Firearm with plenty of magazines.  Suburban Prepper prefers a Semi-Automatic AR 15 chambered in 5.56. Alternatively, the CZ Scorpion chambered in 9mm with plenty of magazines is a good alternative. Don't forget your cleaning kit.

The Medical bag should be stocked  and updated monthly to include supplies and medication for common and emergent care needs

Mylar Blankets, Mini Tents, Hand Warmers, Warm Clothing, Baby Wipes 

Traction Tracks, Recovery vehicle straps , Fire Extinguishers, Flares, Reflective  Vests

Freeze Dried, Canned foods, Eating Utensils, Dried Pet Food, Water bowl for Pets, Disposable  Eating Bowls and several Can Openers , Mini Stove, Marctches, Lighters, Tinder, mini steel pot to heat water. Iodine tablets, Water filter and storage, 5 Gallon water Jug 

Gas mask for each Passenger,  Animal Protective Masks,  Protective Posture Equipement, Chemical Decontamination Kit. You can never know if  your going through a contaminated area so be prepared.

Have several supply chests prepacked and ready to go at a moments notice . 

Maps, Cell Phone Charger, Magnetic Compass, Satellite Internet for Automobile,   Air Drone, Extra Tape , seeds and gardening and Night Vision and Thermal Device
